Not to long ago i was searching help with my problem. after i changed the rod bearings, the knock went away that i got around 2000 rpm. Even with the bearings and new oil pump ocne the car warms up, i lose oil pressure. Finally got it up to a shop, said bottom end is shot. So what im updating everything. thanks for all the help...

also if anyone has a built bottom end 420a for sale. let me know
Im gonna try to salvage my eagle rods n je pistons. but the block is bored .40 over...

does this mean the pistons are larger then stock? or are the rings just larger then stock?

If you are loosing oil pressure than it's due to the main bearings. Yes the pistons and rings are larger than stock. have a machine shop look over the rods and pistons before using them again.

Thanks for being the only one adding some input. I plan on not having the block checked for it not mixing any fluids. holding good compression and running smoothly. i started today by taking half of the bolt on parts off to pull the engine tomorrow. Im gonna have a crank ordered. all new bearings. and have my rods n pistons checked if they actually are eagle rods n je pistons. any way i can tell if the crank is a stock crank or not?
