Problem need opinions

I install my new turbo and I forgot to take from the exhaust side the foam plastic soft by the way I turn it up and smells like plastic burning and a lot of smoke so what options do I have take the turbo again or let the fins burn it cause is not hard is soft plastic.

Wow. I would not start the car again and pull the turbo back off and clean it. Hope you didnt damage the turbine wheel.

Ok you think is possible that soft foam will kill the fins

when you melt soft foam or plastic it can shrink up into a hard plastic.

I wouldnt risk it especially if the turbo is new.

Yea it's new I won't turn it back up I just thought that foam will not be a problem

Well I try to clean and flan turn into soft put sticky stuff like chocolate color. Well I gave it a clean but still smoke the turbo is fine just that a lot of smoke and stil comes out the pipe when it's off should I just rev it so it will burn or get new hot housing, o2 and down pipe.
