Edmonton,
Hey guys well i had a rebuild a little while ago, biggest gong show in the world. went in the tranny shop like 5 times, we dont have alot of good shops up here. anyways, they finally realized that my second gear was grinding die to a kinked cable after everything was fixed in my tranny. Heres the thing now, Shfting from first to second now is pretty much perfect, but sometimes when i downshift from 3rd to 2nd it grinds really bad and wont go in. i dont think there is good fluid in there, but i dont see why that owuld affect it only from downshifting. also when the new cables went in, they had to build a new bracket cause the cables were supposely to short. any ideas why it can be doing this only downshifting? any thing needing to be adjusted?

no advice? this is a first. c'mon ppl. i know someone has to have an idea of whats going on.

They had to build a bracket to fit the cables because they were too short, right? So they weren't the right cables. And maybe the bracket they built at Gong Show Trannies wasn't quite right?

Check the cable adjustment.
Check all the brackets that hold the shift cables for tightness.
Check the angle of the cables coming off the bracket to make sure they aren't bent at an angle.
Check to make sure your clutch is disgaging higher than one inch (2.5 cm) off the floor.
