Well I got an EVO III 16G Turbo so it pulls that high and I woul dlike to shift that high but the thing is the tranny grinds really bad around 7000RPMs when slamming from 2nd to 3rd. At 6000RPM it doesn't do it but anything above 6500RPM and it hates me.

I have Red Line Syncromech fluid in the Tranny. About 2K miles on that oil. I know it is a syncro issue but is there anything I can besides pulling the tranny and getting a dual 3rd gear syncro set up?

Probably not. At this point the tranny is probably just old and worn.

Well previous owner stated it was rebuilt 3K ago. I got it after they put 1K on it and changed the fluid.

My buddy who just had his 5spd rebuilt does the same thing. Any options out there or do these trannys really hate high RPM shifting?
