problem after cat back install

Ok so i just installed an apexi n1 cat back and now it smells like something is burning, theres smoke coming from the exhaust but not all the time and also the revs are much higher than before (about 1600rpm) can someone tell me of this is normal or what the problem could be?

that burning smell is oil on the pipe that you touched with your hands. Its burning off. Im not sure about the revving problem but did you put the 2nd o2 sensor?

It is normal to get some burn off on a brand new exhaust system and with a larger better flowing system you will rev a bunch easier and quicker then our stock systems but just to be safe climb under the car and check the entire system just to make 100% sure you do not have any wires or anything else melting on the pipes.

theres 1 one the o2 sensor 1 on the downpipe and i think 1 on the catback but the garage did it and now my wideband isnt working

could have the 02s plugged in wrong? the smell though is paint and hand prints gotta burn off that new part smell.

higher flow exhaust=quicker revs

if its all stainless and the oil on your hand gets on the pipe. oil burns off pipe causes smoke. anytime i have ever welded on exhaust i will smell a bit and smoke for a few days.

now my wideband isnt working after the install, i started the car and the wideband wasnt reading anything then after a little while it just shut off what can it be?

did you make shure everything is hooked up correctly? wheres the wide band sensor located in the pipe?

You dont have your wideband that far back in the exhaust do you?

i dont think so
i just put my friends wideband gauge on my car after a while it stayed on 1 number then i put it back in his car and it does the same thing , did i just blow 2 widebands?
