pressure sensor on top of gas tank

when looking through pics on the install of a walbro 255, i noticed that none of the pics showed a pressure sensor on top of that piece that the pump is attached to. mine has one. whats the difference?
 
ill try to get a pic tomorrow, but it looks EXACTLY like the MDP sensor and is directly screwed into the top of the plate.

like i said tomorrow i will get an actual pic of the one im talkin about but thats what the sensor looks like

97+ cars have a tank pressure sensor as per OBD2 rules. Thats why so many 97+ cars (any cars, not just DSMs) get a check engine light if their gas cap is not screwed on all way after getting some gas.
