I noticed that the forks on the pressure plate were scared a bit around the edges from the TOB, I'm assuming it was thanks to CW or something. My main concern is if I should get a new pressure plate or not, while I have the tranny out replacing the TOB..etc.

what did the TOB do to scare the forks? did it sneak up on them from behind or something?

sorry, couldn't resist

and while you're in there you should just replace it anyway

LOLROFL. I figures there might be some wear but this was enough to alarm me a bit...guess I will have to take a look at it agian when its apart and take it from there.

The scratching comes from the TO bearing riding on the spring plate constantly which is due to an incorrectly adjusted clutch. You need to blead and adjust your clutch hydro system.

There will be mild scratches after several thousand miles but if there is a deep grove then yea its bad and likely that your TO bearing is trashed.

Thanks, I figured there would be some from plain wear and tear but I was just curious. I have a tendancy to over react to every little thing on her that may be an issue... rather be safe than sorry ya know.
