okay so im having some issues with my pressure plate. the first was a act 2100 that lasted 5 months of daily driving(maybe 6k miles total) before half the fingers snapped off. now i didn't launch the car or grind the gears. i figured it might just been a bad pp so i replace it with a 2800 and this one lasted about the same amount of time but this time around it snapped off ALL the fingers! what the shit could be causing this? its driving me crazy and im really getting tired of dropping this tranny every 6 months :(

*oh yeah and i had a shop do it both times because i was too busy with work to do it myself so i dont think it was a bad install...

was the propper TOB used? Was the pivot ball shimmed? fork in good shape? possibly the slave or extended slave rod?

The only thing I can think of is Over extending.

tob was correct. fork looks good. and whats this about the slave and extended slave rod?

make sure you dont have an extended rod for the slave cylinder, from what your symptoms are i'd check to make sure its stock. they are sometimes put in as a bandaid for bad forks, pivot balls or hydraulics.

so i took my pressure plate to the guys over at act(which luckly is a block down the street from my work) and they said they were not sure what caused it but it could have been a faulty pressure plate so now i have the new kit ready to install :)
