Is it just me or is my hotside U tube
extended too far laterally? From looking at other pictures in the forums, it really seems like it should have the bends closer to the IC.
And yes the piping is all the way against the IC so I couldn't push it in further if I tried...

Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a name brand kit if I'm just gonna have to mock it myself doesn't it? Not trying to "keep it as short as possible" It's hitting the outermost opening on the 2gb bumper. Does that seem correct. But thanks for the wise response! Not all of us have the money or tools to cut and re bead.

And I'm not talking about the bracket. I'm talking about the piping.

I'll try to find my old pics of my install. I believe mine was about that far also. Think it had to do with the fog lights but not to sure. But I do think that's how mine was also. But let's be honest it's not the most expensive front mount. Iv read threads saying it was eBay equivalent. I don't really believe that too much, but it isn't no vsrf. It's a kit that bolts up and does what's needed.

Put your fog light on and see if it looks better. Here is mine.

I had problems with their SMIC hard pipe kit on my 98 GST. I got it to work, but took some creative grinding where the top of the SMIC leads into the engine bay.

The punishment fmic is an ebay kit along with their budget manifolds...their custom o2/manifolds are top notch.

It's super easy to cut and bead. Can do with a simple hack saw with a metal blade. And before I had my roller, I just used the vise grip and exhaust clamp method :). Hard on the hands but does the job just fine. I suggested it because it's your best option bro.

Here is mine. Sorry the coupler is on it in this pic. My kit was purchased back in '09, and it looks like your front portion is longer than mine maybe they changed suppliers in that time?
