Today i put in my boost guage and i tapped the remote power wire into the cigarette lighter. I got everything hooked up and went to turn on my car, when i did i had no power to the guage and no power to my stereo or headlights anymore. What would cause this?

It sounds like you have a short in the circuit that runs your accesories, check your fuses and make sure all your connections are good (power, ground)

Well another option is tapping into the fuse box under the steering wheel. You get something called a fuse tap and find an unused fuse slot and connect the power wire to the fuse tap and you get power. Just make sure you find one that comes on when you turn the accessories on. Ive done this for my leds in my footwells.

So i knbow that the wire that i tapped into has power, i checked that, but i dont have power to my dash lights or my headlights or anything else, including the gauge but i know for sure the wire im using has plenty of power.
