On my GSX I have a big problem. Whenever I hit the gas more then 75%, the engine will start makin boost and then at about 4000rpm's it will sputter and lose a tremendous amount of power. I give the car less gas pedal though and it will slowly pull all the way 6000rpm. Im not losing boost, it seems like the engine isnt getting gas. I still have the stock injectors but im only runnin 10 pounds of boost. It only happens when I get on the gas, but i like to romp on it so this is a problem for me. Anyone have any ideas or past experiences that they can think of to help me out in diagnosing this problem?

I would check your wires, plugs, coil, ect. I had the same problem it would cut out under wot but run fine when I was at about 50-75% throttle. My plugs seem to like to foul out pretty quick so if they are somewhat new just pull them and see how bad they are.

Def sounds like a boost leak to me, still boosting but that air is creeping out somewhere. you said it runs great until the boost builds, but once you reach a certain RPM that leak probably opens up, your guage is still reading the correct boost but that air isnt making it all the way. Check it out, easy to test. :thumb:

Boost leak sounds like a definate possibility. How did you guys leak test ## cars? I have heard different ways of doin it but im kind of unsure on how to do it and what I would need to make a good test.
