Power Steering Mod?

I was curious if anyone has done this mod and what the result was? Good or bad? Worth the hassle or not?

AND...your point is?? The mod is for a 1g and from what I've seen manual racks are pretty hard to find and the ones out there are pretty expensive. This mod, from what I can see is cheaper way to do it and if it works, I'd like to know. I have a spare power rack that I replaced because of a leak and if I can gut it and convert to manual, I'd like to try it out.

I have my engine out going through a rebuild right now and if I can swap racks while the engine is still out, obviously it'll be a lot easier.

My concern is there any long term issues from doing the mod or if it's worth doing in the first place.
