power door lock problem

Ok so on my 98 gsx when ever I hit the unlock button both doors unlock then lock again automatically. When I hold the unlock button for like 3 seconds the doors fully unlock but sometimes the door will be locked even when the lever is on unlock . When unlock is pressed it clicks twice like when you lock the doors when the key is still in the ignition. I can't seem to find a solution

take the door panels off and check if all the wiring is good. . does it only do it from the driver side or passenger side as well?

Sounds like an issue I had with my locks. I don't know the name of it, but there is a plastic clip over the lock cylinder, check that it is still there. It senses the when the key is entered and turned to lock or unlock the door. If it's not sitting right, or broken off (it's thin plastic), it'll cause either one door to immeditately lock or unlock when you try to lock/unlock it. If it is, pull the fuse use them as manuals till you can get a replacement.

havent checked to see if it does it on the passenger side but i will tomorrow
