Power Accessories Door Swap

I've searched the hell out of this site and another for the past hour and I only find vague references to door swaps for this upgrade.

I have a 1G Eclipse and I am in need of a door swap. I currently have manual windows/locks and I'm thinking about grabbing a powered accessory door from the junkyard. I understand that the wiring harness is the same so there shouldn't be a problem with this other than pulling the wiring through to where it needs to be plugged in - under the dash somewhere?

Does anyone have any information on this or can point me to a thread that gives a step by step or at least some more information? Can I do a door swap and be done? Do I need both doors to be powered for them to work properly or can I just do one for now and the other later?

Im not sure what you were searching on here but there is a MERGED thread on this topic with everything in it you'd need. I pulled the info from one of the posts on there of someone who did a small write-up of the swap and edited it a bit so its an easier read. Power Window and Power Door Lock Installation [Merged 3-7]

1. Look under the dash (pull down the kick guard) and there should be two plugs up there. One is WHITE (which should be plugged into the harness for power mirrors) and the other is GRAY (power windows and locks).
2. I went to the 1990 (the one WITH power windows) took out the motor/lift assembly, then unclipped all points of the harness from the door, then unplugged the two plugs from under the dash and slid them through into the door. To do this you have to get that rubber sleeve between the two doors into the door. Just pry it off both ends (without tearing it) and then work it through the door. Then that white plastic piece that the rubber thing attached onto has to be pryed off and worked through into the door.
3. Now all you have to do is take out the harness out of the other car and swap them, installing is the same as removal. Then put the manual window lift in the old and the moter/lift assembly into the new! Thats that! Oh yeah, don't forget the power window relay under the hood its in the box next to the battery.

It sounds to me like you can swap the ENTIRE door and just do step 1. to find the correct wiring harness to feed into the door.

I believe you searched and I'm glad I could help ya, sometimes that those search's can be a bit tricky to pull up the right stuff. You know a lot of times I refer to Google to pull stuff up on here since it seems to be a little more lenient when your trying to find something specific.
