I've browsed through all of these threads, found alot of good info. But what i'm asking here, is just for people who have made manifolds, modified a manifold, or bought a pre made manifold, to post photos of the manifold they bought, and shed some memories of the install, fitment issues and stuff like that.

It's a pretty kick-ass manifold. I got it from Mike Hart at the Street Source, and I love the construction. The welds are superb and the metal is high quality.

I did have a few fitment issues, however. If you look at the picture, the thermostat housing overlapped with the flange on the manifold. It took about ten cut off wheels and thirty minutes with my Dremel to get that fixed. I only need to shave off a 1/4" or so until everything fit well.

Also, the welds on the turbo flange were so thick, that it was nearly impossible to fully tighten the bolts. Again, nothing a few cut off wheels on the Dremel couldn't take care of.

The biggest issue with the manifold, which still needs to be fixed, is that the wastegate flange is positioned so the wastegate and the turbocharger hit. The flange needs to be rotated to allow everything to be bolted up properly, and so a dump tube can be run from the wastegate. Right now, I have the wastegate mounted backwards, just to plug the hole. The bypassed exhaust empties into the engine bay, but I drive the car so infrequently, that it'll be OK for now.

Luckily, Mike is a great guy, and stands behind his product 100%, so he has offered to fix this.

Other than those three issues, the manifold is really great.

Custom, using stainless elbows and Ts and a exhaust flange from www.turboflanges.com, had to shave off some of the flange near the thermostat housing in order for it to clear, only thing i wish i had of done is move the turbo over to the drivers side more.

Thanks guys, Keep um Comming! I fell in love with the Hahn kit, but 3300 bucks... I think I could possibly peice something together that will look good and perform just as good as the HAHN.

Justin, I really like yours. Are all the peices from that site?

I will have pics up in a couple days. I got a used star manifold, I think there is one on ebay right now for under 130$. Ported it to match my turbine housing, but I didn't port the runners. I really like it, I shaved off where it says star, because it kind of looks like it says Stan, and I have a friend named stan. That woulda been a weird situation.

I'd say this is just plain old $90 quality! ROFL I had the same flange fitment issue with the thermostat housing, and just cut off a chunk.

Whats the website to the place that sells these parts, I had the link saved but lost everything to my pc. How are you liking this manifold? I was going to use this to build my manifold, but wanted the HAHN look...

White - what is the angle of the turbo flange in relation to the log part of your manifold ie. -30, -45? if you dont mind me asking.

Infinite, all the pieces are not from www.turboflanges.com , just the exhaust flange and the turbo flange, found the elbows and Ts at a local steel shop.

WMD, i dont know the angle i just simply tacked the turbo flange and the collector together and bolted it to the turbo, then i angled the turbo till it fit, marked it with a sharpie and cut out a hole then welded the sucker on. not rocket science but it worked:sneaky:

Dang, i was wondering because im affraid if i would go with the log style with the turbo flange turned 0 degrees (everything in a horizantal plane), then it would melt the paint on my hood, and its brand new too. And i currently dont own a welder. :(

it will have to be angled somewhat, if anything i would take it some where to get the flange and collector tacked then do what i did, i dont think ive seen a turbo that was horziontal to the manifold, unless its a smaller turbo, just remeber to leave room if youplan on upgrading your turbo.
