Hey all, I noticed that there wasn't any Canadian feedback on the Emissions thread, so I thought I'd start a Canadian one. Cya.

^^^^^^The same thing just happened to me!!!I was driving home not drunk high,or being reckless,when this cop came outta now where and pulled me over The cop came up to my car did a walk around and procceded to tell me how much she didn't like my BOV or the loud exhaust.....She told me she wanted to see me make and effort to make the car quite!!!!So i had to put the silencer on ....Of coarse we modified it a little

Guys you will not believe this. I bought a 1991 prelude SR with 4WS and ABS, and it actually passed emmissions with 250000 km on it. And guess what, one week later I found out that one of my pistons was not working at all, , I have no clue how it can pass emissions with only 3 pistons working. Ohhh well, returned it at the dealership one week later and got all ym cash back . My dads 1997 Jetta has had no trouble whatsoever with passing emmissions, and every other year thta It been taken to a driveclean centre, the mechanics there adore it.

Its alot easier for the awd guys to pass here in Ontario since they only have to do an idle test. Normally you do an idle test & a ~3000rpms under a certain load test (think the load is equal to going up a 15% incline or something) but since they don't have awd machines to do the testing, awd's don't have to do the load test.

i cant wait! Gonna take my newly bought 97 GSX tomorrow) I have 3" Turbo back with CAT though so its only idle? i can breath that air ... its that clean

Verrrry, interesting... That's what I've heard too though; once your inside Alberta you don't have to worry about any of that sort of jazz.

Yes my friends, you are correct. Modify away. Beautiful Alberta...a great place to make a car fast and nobody cares.

I'm in Ontario and I've never had to take an emissions test. I think it's only southern ontario, because up here in Northwestern Ontario I've never heard of anyone ever having to pass one.

we had our 91 tested last year (ontario drive clean). first place wouldn't do it (cracked header) they said it would never pass. Spoke to my mechanic who directed me to his buddy who would test it and see what it needed to pass, sailed through with room to spare.
