Edmonton,
Hey all, I noticed that there wasn't any Canadian feedback on the Emissions thread, so I thought I'd start a Canadian one. Cya.

I didn't know some canadian provinces had those tests like in the states. I just hope they'll never bring that crap over here 'cause my car would certainly never pass through. If I'm waiting too long at a traffic light, I'm soon to be intoxicated by all the fumes and smoke from the muffler. That can't be normal!

Staytuned said:Every two years here in Ontario. I passed last time with the help of a friend at a local testing facility. I would have passed the sniffer part but not the visual because of altered emission components.
Now I have many more mods like cams and larger injectors to screw things up so I guess I will see next year what will happen.

daren_p said:The talk is that they are going to stop the emissions testing in Ontario in the next couple of years, which obviously all the testing centers/garages aren't to happy about. The government makes them buy $35000+ in testing equipment & then scraps the project after 5 years or so, typical government.
