black 95 eclipse auto gsx. auto trans/motor are out and i have a 2g 5 speed trans out of a 95 talon TSI. also included is a 1G 6bolt motor ready to be dropped in or build it up. i have everything to do the 5 speed swap just put it all toghther and u have yourself a 3500.00 dollar car or just a rocketship. i have no time to finish this up or i would.GSX is lowered on eibach springs and tein shocks/struts. 3in exhaust.upgraded JDM turbo.97-99 front bumper/headlights/rear bumper.rear bumper is in primer black. mint grey leather interior. car is located in northeast philly 19136. 267 321 9192. no trades/shipping 1500 cash only. if i dont answer ### leave a message.no pics i have alot of extra parts that go with this sale

Ask him what kind of upgraded " JDM " turbo it has. As far as i know there is nothing JDM about eclipse's / talon's.

ok i might do it then and that motor will bolt up to that trans and i can just put it in do i need to modify anything what do i have to do to prepare that engine to be put in

I would be eerie about it and this is why. People take random shit off of cars and try to make it work. You don't know what all he has frankensteined to get the car where it is. 1500 isnt a bad price if everything, and I mean everything is there. Problem is unless he is me, he probably didnt label every nut/bolt as they came off the car. He is probably relying on his memory to put the car back together. In that scenario, I wouldn't do it. I would only do it if you already had the motor/trans/T-case and all the other important shit so you don't overlook something in the excitment of buying the car. What if there are 4-5 little things missing, that are OEM supply only so you either have to go to the dealership, or find it used. 1500 isnt that great of a deal now.

Plus, you don't have any idea the shape this non-running motor/tranny are in. And putting the clutch peddle in is a pain in the ass. its not that easy, it doesnt just bolt in. Then you will have linkage, clutch lines, slave/master cylinder bleed the whole thing in, and all of that is known work. Assuming the install of the motor/trans goes smooth, you are still looking at 15-20 hours of work to do everything, and thats if it goes smooth. If not, you might be selling the project as it nickle and dimes you to death! And I didnt read anything about the transfer case. Is it AWD? What if he has a FWD tranny, and no transfer case? Then you will be beating you head against a wall in no time!

Sounds like a good deal...But sometimes its too good to be true. It is definitly going to be a project for you. Just remember you will probably spend countless hours trying to figure out what parts are good and what might be bad. I have made that mistake in the past and will never do it again. Just some food for thought!

Just keep in mind all the stuff needed to do the 5sp swap and make sure you get everything, linkage, shifter, pedals, t-case, rear diff and axles, starter, flywheel clutch, clutch master and slave as well as a clutch line. There is a lot involved when do the 5sp swap on an awd. Just keep in mind that it'll be a big project to finish. Probobly not just an easy over the weekend put it back together and have a running car kind of thing. Plus don't forget about the random misfire issue you'll have to deal with to make the 6 bolt run.

everything to do the swap i am getting i went to see the car today everything is already done shifter cables clutch stuff technically all i need to do is drop the trans and engine in the shell has 88k on it and comes with a ton of extras more info to come probably picking it up fri the engine he said was a jdm engine 6 bolt comes with tubular manifold im going to do the timing belt and water pump etc before it goes in any more questions i willl ask can anyone point me in the right direction as to links for other threads on different write ups of people who did the 6 bolt swap and any other write ups and info is much appreciated

For that price I'd pick it up. Definitely a nice project. Also there's no such thing as a "jdm" 6 bolt.....
