ok so im going to be buying a completely stock 95 gs automatic... he says he thinks the fuel pump is going out because he will drive it for approx. 5minutes and the car sputters to a stop... i was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and how did you fix it??? also where is a good site to buy a fuel pump from... ive been looking around alittle but havent found much... thanks guys...

If the fuel pump is the problem, replacing it would be a good solution. You can find fuel pumps if you go under the "vendors" tab on this site, look through their sites, I'm sure you'll find one.

Check ebay for one. Look on Mitsubishi's OEM parts online. Sounds like your fuel pump is bad or your MPI relay.

Don't buy OEM, an OEM fuel pump, from the factory, is close to $400, when you could buy a much better aftermarket one for $100.

for now im going to go with a used oem one just to throw at it and make sure if it isnt it i blew 100 on something i didnt need... thank you all for your opinion... oh and one more question... which manual has the best info... chiltons or haynes??? thanks again...

I have a Chilton, it's great, though I've never seen a Haynes so I can't really compare.

The crank sensor in my 95 was causing the same problem. After the car warmed up for about 5 minutes it would sputter and die... Check the codes it will give you a better clue to the problem...
