Possible bad rebuilt head

Well I bought a rebuilt head from a supporting vendor of this site(not gonna throw names around). When it got here I noticed that the top of the valves were VERY close to surface of the head, my finger nail will even catch on some of them. I'm not exactly sure, but that isn't good right? I just want to make sure it is bad, before I call up the vendor and do anything else.

Nothing wrong with that.

Have a stock head sitting right here & it looks the same.

Looks normal to me also,there's nothing you should worry about

The edge of the valves don't seem really close to the head's surface? If recall correctly on my old head, there was more of a gap between where the valves ended and the surface of the head depth wise.

I just threw the 3 surviving valves from my old head in, and it was basically the same. I just figured that the valves would be much deeper in the head. it looks as if f I were to throw the cams in, and turn them, the valves would extend past the surface of the head, or something.
