porting inatke mani?

I have searched and cant find anything that helps. If anybody knows of other threads point me in the right direction.
I have an extra intake manifold of a na 1g head. I will be boosting my car soon and was thinking about porting the intake mani since its just laying around. If i get it ported out can i swap it onto my na for the time being with it helping and still benfit my car when when its boosted? If i can how much would people porting it out? I will be having a shop do the work so im just trying to figure out if it will be beneficial before wasting money on it.

If they have a flow bench go and get it ported to match the head unless you are getting head work as well. I would save your money though and just get an aftermarket manifold if you are in that much need for the little bit of extra flow you are going to get. Now if you are talking about port matching to a larger TB then you can do that yourself.

Well at some point i know i will be getting head work done. I just dont know when because the rest of the buil is more inportant. For the throttly body i im not sure i would get it ported or not. The reason why im wanting to port stuff is so i can save money by not going aftermarket and it still being somewhat comparable.

Well in that case I'll tell you to hold off on it until you get the head work done at least and your flow is being restricted by the stock manifold.

Alright i was just hoping to find something that will benefit my help na and still help it when i boost it. Im just trying to think of ways to not spend alot of maoney. Thank you though.

I know there are N/T members that have done intake mods, but I don't have enough information on that to give you a solid answer on what to do with the porting. Save your money now and get what you need to boost safely.
