Porting and installing 2g exhaust manifold on my 1g..?

can anyone help with instructions on how to port a stock 2g exhaust manifold that is going on my 1g gsx...i wan't a good size port but im not sure exactly how much i can port the manifold..? any advice regarding port size or tools or techniques for porting appreciated...also i've heard that i have to grind down part of the 2g manifold to fit on my 1g gsx...any advice or tips on this as well....?
