Ported Manifold on a T25

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to run a ported or tubular exhuast manifold on the stock T25 turbo? Will anything bad happen?
I plan on upgrading my turbo eventually, but I just want the manifold sooner, because I show.

Sure, you can port it out. While you're at it, port out the turbine housing as well.

It will definately help with future upgrades. You wont see any bad side affects as your car is now so go for it. It will help some but you wont really notice it until you upgrade the turbo. A tube manifold would be the way to go IMO if you got the money

Well I got the money. Hold on lemme go sell everything I have on eBay and I'll get back to you.
Ok, well if it won't hurt anything, then I'll put that as #2 as things to get. I heard it will make the turbo boost like 200 rpm's faster. True?

yes it will make the turbo spool faster. i have the evo 3 16g and just had it ported w/ the 34 mm flapper install and also had my exhaust manifold ported and i noticed a big difference in spool time.
