Right now I have a 2.5" turbo back exhaust. If I were to say get a stage 3 or stage 4 ported head from SBR, would I be "choking" the motor due to the fact the exhaust is too small?

Thanks

Erik

Cool. So, for 3" inch exhaust, what would you or anybody prefer?

I was thinking along the lines of Espelir or Apexi but I'm very undecided between the two. Is one really better than the other?

Thanks

Erik

Its mostly just personal prefferances. Me, I have the apex and love it. Doesn't sound to ricey, flows great, and looks great(to me.). Another really nice exhaust that sounds extremely well and performs very well is the thermal exhaust.

I have Apexi too, and it's everything stated above, but it doesn't sound like anything. I think a stock 3g Eclipse is louder then my car. I also have no cat too! I love being quiet. :D

Ya it is pretty damn quite even with my 50 trim. Its kinda hard to describe how it sounds it almost hollow like. I know that doesn't say much but that's what is sounds like.

i have the tsudo catback with megan racing downpipe. it is a very good buy for the price and i get compliments on sound often. its not ricy at all, just a nice deep tone. its not very loud under regular load and cruise but when steping on gas it is quite mean sounding. well maybe lil more than the regular person since im dumping from o2 housing but its still worth mentioning.

ok i will refraise that............looks better than the apexi piping which is all black and opposite of bling bling

still bling bling to me so HA! :thumb:

I admit the stainless sounds good for an exhaust, hence the Espelir. But I know a lot of people have the Apexi, which I could probably get cheaper but isn't stainless.

Just trying to decide, but I appreciate the comments.

if you could get a new apexi n1 for under 275 go for it.........i think i paid 340 for my catback a year ago but now they are selling for 275 shipped.

Have they really gone down that much? 2 years ago I paid $425 for my Apexi N1 & that was an amazing deal at the time. I too would defently recommend this system, looks great, overall not too loud & sounds amazing. The Espelir is supposed to flow better then the Apexi but I believe its pretty loud as well, not a good idea if the cops are strict in yor area.

Edit: Are you sure thats the real apexi n1 for that cheep?, their still asking ~$420 from the different vendors on ebay.

I meant I could get the apexi cheaper than the espelir.

Boostin GST: Is your system a full 3 inch? Just asking because I don't know.

Your DSM will rust out before your steel exhaust does.
Just wondering why everything you say has nothing to do with anything and the fact that your always putting DSMs down. If you don't like them, sell your car and stay off the website.

That means a steel exhaust will last plenty long. Idiot.

First- I vote for the Apex N1. I have one and it's sounds great. Like they said above, deep not ricey.

Second- I have no cat either and it defintely is not quiet. You must have the silencer in because my neighbors know when I leave and when I come home, hell I can even hear my car warmming up when I'm in my house. Maybe not V8 dual exhuast loud but not quiet by a long shot.
