Alright i'm just curious on how much power i would be gaining on my current setup if i were to port and polish my head, and get some 264 272 cams. My friend owns a shop and he can do it for me really cheap if i wanted, but i'm just being stupid and speculating on how much power i would actually gain.

I know that oval cams like the ones i want arent really meant to simply ADD power, but instead give me steady power throughout my entire rpm range, and also increase my power band. Am i correct in this or not?

With a ported head it would be just like a ported manifold right? it doesnt necessarily ass horsepower, but just decreases my spool up time and makes everything flow better and makes the flow diameter larger. whatever i'm done talking, if anyone has ever notice a big different in porting their head in power let me know and i will get it done, but it would just mean my car would have to be down for longer haha.

my mods are in my profile, if cams wouldnt really help my current situation then let me know, also in the near future i plan to upgrade to maybe a 20g or evo3 16g with all supporting mods: fmic, jecters, pump, gm sensor, datalogger. so if it wont really help me now, would i really need it later down the road?

any help appreciated...

i noticed that the motor seemed to have more power when out of boost, and the turbo spools up a little more quickly. not nessarly good for te gas mileage though (or my o2 sensor is fubar'd which is most likely the case) goodluck with your project
