Anyone port the wastegate on a tubular 02 housing to match that of a more oval shape of the waste gate on the turbine housing? The circle just doesn't seem to mate up correctly and looks to restrict flow? Was thinking of useing a stock gasket and porting the o2 housing flange to direct flow a bit better.

Thank you.

In most cases I wouldn't recommend it because the tubular is made for the most extreme and easy flow possible, but if you were to "gasket match" the flange and funnel it into the circular style of the wastegate exit then go ahead. Shouldn't hurt unless you cut into the thin walls of the tubing and create a hole.

Ya, I'm think I'm going to just funnel it in a bit and try not to take to much off. Rather have the exhaust gas hit a 45 degree angle then a 90 degree...especially since I have a EVOIII turbo and need that wastegate to flow well.

Thats exactly what i thought with my megan o2 housing.. like said above, there really isnt much to port but what i did was ported the flang to angle the exhaust stright to the circular dump
