Is there anything that I should do before porting and polishing the engine and is it worth the time and money?

If you're not turbocharged yet and don't plan on ever going that route, your best bet for power is headwork, as that is where the power is made. Should you want to boost the car, build the bottome end first, turbocharge second, and tweak the head last.

Don't expect mad power from a race head, though. Fully built all motor 2GNT makes around 170whp. Built bottom end with basic turbo system will put you in the same range, but this is entry-level turbocharging. You can relatively easily progress far beyond this sort of number without even touching the head, so keep that in mind.

Kool! I do want to turbocharge the engine sometime in the future so, I guess tuning from the bottom end will have to my starting point. I want to do this and do this the right way. Thanx man! You guys really know your shit here. That's wuz up!
