My 96 was lowered when i got it. I think it was dropped 2"-2.5", but for some reason there is a very loud popping almost a bang in the rear passanger side. I have found no broken pieces or problems. Any help would be nice. Thanks Jo :dsm:

Take off the two access covers and look. Odds are, the over-lowering has caused one of the upper shock mounts to fail.

I had the same problem with my 98 GSX on the rear driver side after half a year driving around on my eibach sportlines (changed to Tein Coilovers). Turned out to be the dampener (looks like a big rubber donut). if u take out your spring/shocks and pull out the assembly you will see it, replace it with a new one from the dealership and thats should fix it, or at least that solved my poping problem. sounds like we had the same problem.

A "dampener" is a shock absorber (although it should really be called a "damper," since it damps movement, instead of making something wet). The big rubber doughnut is a bushing. It's the upper shock bushing, in particular.
