Pretty much, when I turn the steering wheel as far as it can left or right, the suspension (or something around there) pops. Is this bad/normal/etc?

I have heard that popping was a normal on a new setup as it settled in, but I just bought the car and it has had Tokiyo springs it for about a year. Should I be worried or is it just a quirk.

97 GS-T btw.

Sounds like your CV boots are ripped and your CV shafts are going bad. Clicking/popping is the first indication. Crawl under the car to see how your CV boots are doing. In case you dont know what they are, for clarification, they're the rubber ribbed boots at the end of your axles wheel side. If those are torn 99% its the CV shafts.

You can purchase CV shafts at your local parts store.

Hope this helps.

Well havent had a chance to check, but it sounds like its the cvjoints. How serious is this, how much will the parts cost, and should I have someone do this or buck up and do it myself?

Replacing CV joints is easy, just buy the kit, follow the instructions and be sure to have a lot of rags around to wipe up the grease.
