popping clutch

i have a quick question. i am not sure if it is my clutch or my transmission.


when i put my 95gst into first and give it gas the clutch will automatically will pop into nuetral. put if i hold it into place it will not pop out. or if i drive slowly it will not pop out.
please help

How does the car react in the other gears besides first? When you apply throttle, the shifter actually returns to the neutral position or it _seems_ like its in neutral? Should this be the case, you have a slipping clutch. The clutch has been worn out, and its time to replace the pressure plates and while you are down there the slave cylinder. If it is only happening in first gear, it is your gear lock for first gear most likely. Can you put it into gear without your foot on the clutch?

What sort of mods do you have? How hard do you run your car?

well i only have a stock t-25, inatke downpipe and exhaust. stuff you start off with when your a new dsm'er. i just put an exedy clutch last year in my car. about a week after i installed the clutch i went to the track to see what my time was, but they were only running 1/8th mile. so when i was shifting into third i forced because it would not go in when i wanted it to. and so it got stuck into thrid and would not come out. i waited about ten minutes and it finnally came out. ever since then the first always comes out when you give it gas. all other gear work fine. just slips out of first. i drive it hard on occasion.
