Ok to start out I baught this car not to long ago. It is a 91 talon 2.0 m/t stock. I got it for 500 and the kid thaught it was a fuel problem and changed pump and filter, battery, alternator, so he says but in the order he changed the battery and alt. He messed up the battery. so when i got the car i put in a new one and made the car run perfect lots of pull, Ive waited for almost ten years for a dsm by the way. sorry off topic. now the car runs like crap. I thaught the timing jumped. it must not of. the cel came on so i got a volt tester and checked the codes to the book. It was the tps and the 02 sensor. I adjusted the tps and got rid of that code. The o2 keeps coming back. I followed the book and the vfaq the best I could to do the timing and I say the best because the marks with a strait endge acrost the four marks and they dont line up. Im trying to give back ground so ill get to the questions. ive tested the coils, primary and secondary. the secondarys fall in the range of the book but the primary doesnt. It measures at 1.1 ohms so I checked about ten at the junk yard and they all tested the same or close to. the book says it should be 0.70-0.86 ohms. I dont know if the tester is off or the book is off. Can any one confirm this. The other question is will the ics make the hole power band act stupid. before the problems what every one called idle surge i think it did. It was winter i got this so it revved to 2 grand and then would drop for a quick second and go back up and do it again until it was warmed up. i also cut the cat out cause the shell of it was rusted out. so it is exaust leaking i havnt seen this problem make this much problem but is it also possible. THANK YOU TO ANY ONE THAT IS WILLING TO HELP IN ADVANCE.

. the book only says to look for continuity and doesnt give any reference numbers to go off of. Ive looked for it on the net to no prevail. Im starting to get real desperate.
