Hey guys,

Its been a while since I had a DSM and I found one that is modded quite right and doesn't look like he went the cheap way on anything. Body is in okay shape no dents just needs a really good buffer and detail.

It has a AEM ecu in it and the tune on it is a bit rich, he says when starting it up it would take a few cranks to start it because of that.

Now I remember on my last DSM I had E85 and I had to do that during the winter to get it going, but his is on pump gas 93. Could it be from being rich or should I steer away?

List of mods thats been done:
80,000 miles on chassis
rebuilt 6bolt engine swap with only 8,000 miles
ARP connecting rod bolts
ARP head studs
Hks 272 cams/ adjustable cam gears
AEM Sensors
Full 50trim turbo
Hks blow off valve
Turbonetics waste gate
AEM engine management system
external areomotive 1000 fuel system
Turbo smart dual boost controler
RC 550 fuel injectors
Brand knew ACT clutch kit
kyb adjustable shocks with eibac springs

I would change out the injectors to maybe 1050cc and run E85 in this since its all around me.
I'm going to go check it out tomorrow morning, just a bit iffy about having to crank it a couple of times for it to start.

Thanks Guys

5500 OBO, which seems pretty reasonable for being lower mileage then some I see and for what is installed in it. I would just need to get a Stock hood bc the one on it is hideous in my opinion :p

I just hope I don't see any stupid things done to the engine bay when I go and check it out, like having the bov VTA with the stock 2g maf LOL.

For that price I would get it and try to fix the starting problem. Try negotiating with him you could probable get it for closer to 5000.

Is this a fuel pump or an afpr? My stock fpr likes to bleed the pressure off, so it takes a few cranks to get fuel back to the rail. Could be the same thing? :idontknow:

Yeah I will def negotiate with him on the price, since its needs some minor body work and some tuning.

Theres a really nice one on Staten Island with a 57trim turbo on it but that guy is firm on 7 grand. His has been on craigslist for almost half a year now. I would pay 6 grand for his but hes firm on 7. Guess thats why he hasn't sold it.

I thought the same thing, I thought he was talking about the A1000 FPR but its actually an external fuel pump outside the tank.

I think he still has the original fuel pump intank, I would have to change that out to a Walbro 255lph to keep up fuel with the external fuel pump.

They're both heavily modded. Theres no nearly stock DSM's to choose from?

Not anywhere around me that I've seen. I wouldn't want to start with a stock DSM again. So much money went into my last one that I got basically stock. If the engine goes for any reason (knock on wood) I would pick up a built motor crate from Dsmgraveyard.

I know all heavily modded ones are beat on, but thats why we mod them to go fast.

Well just checked out the car, body is in poor shape. No rust or major dents but paint flaking, peeling, scratches on it, it was leaking coolant from the waterpump, some wires look a bit fried and melted, and he was running open dp.

I'm going to check out the black GSX a little later today if not tomorrow.
