PO170 code

anybody get this code? i know it's fuel trim malfunction and i know what it is but how do u actually solve it? i'm gettin it over and over again on my sixbolted 97. yet i'm also gettin it on my stock 95 sevenbolt. maybe an afc? but then again i heard some afc users also gettin it. sometimes this code sucks because it makes me run rich, and makes the surrounding area of my tailpipe black. any experienced help is appreciated.

do you have a logger so you can actually see what your fuel trims are? if figure if you post them somebody can read them for you.

sorry, i don't have a logger, and my MAS is not hacked either.

There's a dozen things which can produce P0170 the most common cause is bad front O2 sensor.

if you tell us what you figured out so ppl with a similar problem have something to check?

my bad....there are two ways around it:
1) is to use a resistor and connect it to two wires off the ecu
2) tune w/ afc
