I keep getting a PO170 check engine code. It says fuel trim malfunction. They said dirty airfilter might be the cause so i cleaned it. Still comes on. Maybe boost leak? Im lost because it bugs me.

hm it has a bosche O2 with around 25,000 on it. Should I replace if I/C pipes don't work?

hey wudd up, i have the same code and i sitll get that dam check engine light LOL, i had my mechanic who works at mitsubishi dealer check it and it can be either bad 02 sensor, fuel prob, any leaks but yea just having the same problem

Good im not alone. Oh well... I will tell you if my I/C pipes fix this problem once they get here from JAPANNNNNNN. Overnight my ass i been waiting 1.5 months. Damn extremepsi.

Driving at low RPM's in cold weather causes that in my car. When my EGT's are real low and it's cold out the O2 sensor must not stay warm enough as it "sticks", then I get a fuel trim MIL when the computer runs out of adjustment trying to "fix" something that's not broken in the way that it thinks it is :)

also my buddies just let me know that maybe the MAF is a lil dirty or the air filter but yea it may just need a lil cleaning LOL

Sounds like a bad O2 sensor. I had the same problem with my car so i took it to my mechanic and he plugged a datalogger to it and saw that the one of the O2 sensors was reading too low so i replaced it and the problem was gone.
