I'm going to post some pics i have of car but just wanted to see what you guys had to say about it. Here is his ad on Craigslist.

this is for a 1990 eagle talon tsi AWD body os pretty streight, new head and intake gaskets, doesnt burn oil, and runs great, very fast car, it has a front mount intercooler, all alum intercooler piping from turbo to intake, new computer, new tires 100 miles on them, no engine noise at all, cracked windshield from pervious hood flying up

Talked to him the car is completly stock other than fmic and bov and bottom honey comb gone. Doesn't leak any fluids. Timing belt changed when head was done 400 miles ago. The bumper was off because they were trying to fab a 2g bumper on and hood on. Haven't go to drive it yet. My talon has a bunch of problems(tranny is cracked bad wheel bearing engine tranny mounts and fuel and oil guage don't work) so am just going to pic up another and part mine out if i can afford it. But yeah Just curious what you guys think?

Ok, how about a mileage? Depending on a lot of things, $1500 might be ok, somewhere between $900 and there. Owner's a smoker so sniff the hell out of it when you get there.

if it runs and drive great, there is no reason not to. especially the price is already right. and plus if it turn out bad you can always use it for parts.

But don't crush them. sell the body. sorry, i am a little scare about awd dsm being gone and rearer to find everyday. i just want to make aware how precious they are. hope you can feel me on this.

The smoker is a good find and 1500 seems like a good price to me. I have the bumper off mine to take car of that one. And sorry for the double posting those pics though two of them were these two.

Thanks for your advice i figure if it drives great my tires are just ok at best and this has new tires. My Rear wheel drive doesn't even work now, and my fuel gauge and my oil pressure and this ones do. And I wont crush my car my car. Maybe even get it runing and sell it a fwd or something.

Just got the mileage 150000 on body and 20000 on engine and less than a 1000 on head.

I got there and the guy had the car running with out an air filter:0 So i asked if he had on and he said nope. And i said well it's not what I'm looking for thank you for your time.

Sadly ended up getting a corolla and am getting out of dsm's It was a good two months for the half month my car worked. They truly are amazing cars. I just got one that the previous owner knew enough to hurt it. But wow boost is fun and i come from a crazy torque v8 old mustang back round and i would that little turbo any day. Any ways enough ranting. Car was terrible end of thread if only i knew how to resolve a thread...

No offense, but I wouldn't pay $500 for that car. It's really, really rough.

Missing / broken manifold bolts, the engine bay is hacked- nothing is in the right place (coil pack WTF), it's a '90, and it's an auto. Way too many strikes against that piece.

Looks like a 5spd to me but yup its rough!! Still I have looked at allot of dsm's around here that have been beat up at least that bad and been asking more. Not that I would jump on it...

You're right on that one- I haven't seen an early 1G factory shift dildo in so long that I forgot how much they can resemble an auto shifter at a quick glance.

i already went and looked at it, either the clutch is dragging or the first gear synchro is shot. i wouldn't pay more then 800 for it.

oh, and the windshield is totally destroyed, barley drivable.

EDIT: just read post #9, good decision.
