Please Help! Totally Stumped! No run.

This is what happens: Try to start the car, it turns over, struggles to stay running and then dies.

If you hold the key on, it will stay running....kinda.

Timing is good, compression checks out. There is spark.

Could it be the after-market alarm system malfuctioning and turning the car off?
Disabling ignition?

I have no idea really.

Any thoughts?

My car is a 95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. No modifications.

Check all wire connections under the hood. When the siren was installed they might have pulled a connector off. Sometimes if the maf is disconnected the car would just stumble and die all the time. Just an idea.

Did you change something and it started doing this then, or did it just start out of the blue?

Do you get a lot of unburned fuel coming from the exhaust tips?

Do you get a check engine light?

Ok.... It seems like an eletrical issue.

I was driving when it the engine shut off. There was no bogging or hesitation; it just shut down.

I have some other people working on this with me... and we are all thinking crank sensor or cam sensor or both?

It is quite odd....

Could be. They're both a pain to get at on a '95.

The problem is that there are so many things that can make one thing go wrong.

Its very hard to diagnos right now.

And I'm not about to take it to a shop or throw parts into it.

Did it throw a code? Codes are nice.

check your fuel pump relay. your pump stays on while cranking.

If it's an electrical problem first check your battery and could alternator. Then check your spark plugs and make sure the spark plug wires are connect into the right coils. Also check the fuel line and perhaps get a fuel pressure gauge. And could probably be somethings up with your MAS shutting the car down.

Ok, so I posted about my car's problems earlier, but now I have some more problems.

I mentioned that the car is really hard to start, and when it does, it just putters out and dies.

We are thinking the after-market alarm system messed something up.
It was installed before I owned the car and it is wired quite poorly.

We are going to take it out completely and then try to find out what is screwed up.

The other day we were trying to start it, and when the key is in the ON position every freakin' relay, sensor, injector, W/E, is clicking and going off like crazy.

Turn the headlights on......it all stops. WTF

Has anyone had this problem? Does anybody know what this could be?
