No. It must be a 2G or Evo3 tranny.

Have you pulled your spark plugs yet... Your car will smoke a bit and will stall if you have broken valve cover gasket and you are getting oil down in the spark plug wells..

There are many shops in maine that can work on cars. Just don't look for a performance shop or anything. Take it to a garage that you know of(if you don't know of any, ask around)

Dont' take their "opinions" into any effect. Most people just know how to work on a car(if that). From what I have noticed, a lot of maine mechanics know shit about performance. They only know enough to blow the car up.(there are exceptions)

There are a few shops up in the bangor area that can help I know.
