Please explain water pipes

SO i have a holset now and don't need the coolant nipples for the turbo on the water pipe. Instead of capping them I heard I could get a N/T one.

Will the N/T one still line up the thermostat housing nipple and stuff. Also I don't need the TB coolant lines either so could I delete that?

Yes...The N/T pipe is identical except it doesn't have the extra water connections for the turbo.

yes the n/t waterpipe will work good, the only thing you "might have to do is smash down the pipe where the turbo sits in front of. i never had to do that on mine, but i see a lot of people doing it. as far as coolant lines on the tb, im not really sure how that whole ordeal went down. its been a while for me. hope this helps a little.

This only applies to 1g engines (or is it 6 bolt).

I know the NT for the 2g had a different engines thus a NT waterpipe will not work for the 2g. The 2g dont have a provision for coolant return on the water pipe. The return line attaches to the block and the feed comes from the waterpipe, near where the lower radiator hose connects. The 1g provision needs to be plugged with a 16mm x 1.5 thread plug.

I have the 99 7 bolt, so I can't use the 1g n/t?

I have to take my 2g one and cut and weld the coolant nipples?

You could loop the line if you don't want to cap them.
