Planning on buying a 98 eclipse GS good or bad?

Ok i went to a dealership and the mofo sold the 3000GT VR4 I was gonna buy so then I went to another dealer and I found a 98 eclipse GS silver with 54k miles. everything is fine just some scratches on the front bumper and side skirts. Everything is in good shape the price is set at $9,500. You guys thing its a good deal? By the way its an auto . Im trading 95 civic ex 5spd for it.

WAY TOO MUCH for a non-turbo...i bought my 99 GST with $14,500 with only 28,000 mile on it (1 1/2 years ago). I would suggest getting either a GST or a GSX; most ppl on this fourm perfer GSX/Tsi AWD but to me it makes not different

damn def. seems to much now that you have said that. well thanks I'll do some more shopping hopefully I can find a GSX or at least a GST.

a GS is a long way off from a VR4

Yea I know I wanted that Vr4 so bad even though it had 109k miles on it turbos and engine still were in good shape. Im def. gonna keep shopping around its either eclipse GSX or GST, 3kGT VR4 gotta be aleast yr 95 and up and not to heavy on miles. I only gave thought to the GS because its in such good shape and it would be nice for a daily driver but then again I want something fast Im sick of these slow asses.. list of the cars I own in less then a year. keep in mind im only 18 and pay for my own shit so cars pretty much been slow now ready to move on something worth the money.

01 focus 4dr auto - mom kept it
93 3kGT base auto - got stolen was trashed and sold for $1500
90 Integra GS auto - piece of crap car sold also for $1500
95 civic ex 4dr 5 spd - have it, hate the extra doors wanna change it.

ok I look in the paper and on autotrader and the price is not taht bad for the 98 eclipse but I also found that this town near me is selling a 97 Eclipse GSX for $8900. The ad says automatic(do they even come auto) well yea Im gonna go check it out tomorrow it has 43,321 miles. Sounds too good.
