correct. The type of pipe that you use is dependant on what version head you are running, since a 1g thermostat housing is different than a 2g thermostat housing.

The 1G waterpipe goes from the waterpipe > lower radiator hose > heater hose

The 2g waterpipe goes from the waterpipe > thermostat housing > heater hose

On a 2g, the lower radiator hose connects to the actual thermostat housing.

The 1g nonturbo pipe is the same thing as a turbo pipe, except it is smaller and does not have the water nipple next to the flange for the radiator hose (which is used for a stock water return line). Most people switch to a nonturbo waterpipe when they are running a larger cover or running a dry bearing turbo.

LOL I thought he was saying that the pipe went straight forward to the radiator from the water pump.

I dented my water pipe before I put on scm50.. t04e cover.. once the turbo was back on.. it looked like it would've cleared without denting.

the dent I even made was very minimal! don't be afraid, if your afraid to do this, I worry for you in this DSM world. :)

good luck

If there's one thing DSMs have taught me, its to not be afraid to totally #### things up.

I know that i'd just rather need do it Makes it loo nicer but just seeing if theres any way around it.

It's not so bad. This is my SBR G50 turbo. After I put on my PTE BB5031, it cleared the water pipe about 1/3"
