yep these guys are awesome! we have had a dsm dyno met at their facilities (NWDSM, DSMtuners) and these guys are pretty cool to deal with. Their 850hp supra is badass too (they do alot of supra work)

Check out the link, it's a 3" SS catback.

I am now thinking about buying a VRS tubing kit and welding it up myself though. That only cost $150 :)

Where do you get one of those bad boys at? How much do they run? I'm really thinking about doing the whole custom exhaust thing now though. $150 for all the tubing for the catback isn't bad. $200 if I want stainless. I would still need a muffler though.

Anybody seen these or heard anything about them? One of the vendors just put one on ebay and they are selling from their website www.horsepowerfreaks.com for $395.

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/default.asp?BrandCd=PITP&ModelCd=DSM3&SubCategoryCd=EXHA Theres the link for it.

I'm looking to get an exhaust and this seems fairly cheap, but theres nothing about them on tuners and nothing about them in dsmreviews.com

Thanks for the post. We just teamed up with PIT Performance a few months ago. They're actually a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company called DeeZee that makes all sort of products for cars and trucks. Consequently, they have the best of the best as far as machining processes and tolerances. The mandral benders they use to make these exhaust systems are a mere $1,000,000 each.

One thing we noticed when we got our first shipment in was that the 100% stainless steel exhaust is polished to a mirror finish. The welds are unbelievable. The kits include parts that other exhaust systems don't always include like bolts, gaskets, etc. The systems are packaged so well that it took us a good 5-10 minutes per exhaust just to unwrap the sucker so we could put them up in our showroom.

We've been selling exhaust systems for quite some time and these are by far have the highest quality I've seen.

Take care,
Chris.

P.S. Sometimes on that 2nd link you have to hit refresh to get it to show the part. I'm not sure why that is, but I'll have to investigate.

Hey guys, I've been searching the web, and I am really really impressed with everything I've heard about www.horsepowerfreaks.com. I haven't read one bad thing on other forums are anything, nothing but praise. I am now thinking about buying a Catback from them. Only downfall is, I don't know of anyone that has tried the Pit Performance exhaust so I can't hear anything about it.

Although the Pit Performance product line is fairly new to the market, they are selling like hot cakes so you should be hearing some feedback soon. Also, at the price point we're introing them at, you can't beat it. Like Chris said, the quality is unbelievable and COMPLETE. Hands down the highest quality exhaust i've seen. If anyone is local to Portland and wants to stop by and check them out we have them out on display.

Thanks,
Josh

PIT Performance makes a version for the RS and GS models. It's part# PITP 4012S. But none for the GSX at the moment. I'm sure that will follow very shortly.

They're coming out with new products nearly every week. They will in the next few weeks be selling a boost controller very similar to the profec B except without all the boost control issues and boost spikes that the Profec B creates. It will be priced well below the profec B and will also include a turbo timer and a bunch of other functionality built in. We're very happy to be teamed up with them as they're products are manufactured so well and they keep coming out with new ones.

Take care,
Chris.

As I said in my previous post, why is there a giant restrictive resonator on it?

Resonators arent restrictive, they muffle some of the loud exhaust noise and bring it to a lower mellower tone. I had one welded into my pacesetter exhaust to get rid of the loud raspiness. Worked like a charm. They are no way restrictive, they're bigger than the actual exhaust and are straight through, with little baffles on the inner walls.

Ok, It's just some of the resonators I've seen the baffles caused extra turbulence and back pressure.

Well I'm still undecided. To bad I can't order it right now and have it here by Fri. Then I would def. order one right now. Guess I'll sit on this awhile longer and figure out what I'm gonna get.

I decided to take the offensive regarding AWD models and this is what I recieved...

"No we only have the GST currently we are working on a gsx down pipe and
should be available in the next month or so.

Thanks for your interest."

Dear Sir or Madam,
I was wondering if your exhaust product line would include the '95-'99
Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX? I see the RS/GS and GST have systems available,
and I am curious to see if my AWD will. I am looking for a new exhaust
system, and by the high regards I've read about you, I would be
interested in purchasing one if it becomes available.

Thank you for your time

Note: This was sent back within and hour of inquiry....good customer service :thumb:

Okay guys, well I bit the bullet and ordered the Pit Performance exhaust from these guys. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully it will be really nice and I won't regret it. It came out to $444.58 after shipping. Wish me luck

Horsepowerfreaks has a great shop with a great crew. I've visited them from Tri-Cities with my friend Donny in his red 97 GS-T a few months ago. My other friend Brad in his black 93 supra TT has done some work with them as well.

Great company with a great reputation. :thumb: I plan on buying the PIT exhaust from them i just hope i can make the clearence sale in time.
