Pistons? A cheap good set...Ideas Please.

I did some searching and i think i may just go with 2g coated on my 1g rods, but someone told me EVO8 pistons are the better/cheaper upgrade. I searched EVO8 pistons and everything came back that they will not work.....?I dont expect to push over 400hp. I would really like to buy wiesco and get the coated, but money is a issue right now and i dont have 500 bucks to blow just on pistons.. What is involved in putting 2g pistons on 1g rods? Thanks

Evo 9 pistons are the way to go, i plan on running them in my 1g with 1g rods

Not only are Evo pistons lighter than 2g pistons, they come coated on the sides and are forged
