Piston Rings 1G Turbo where you buy yours?

Was wondering where people buy their rings from. Stock pistons, standard, for turbo engine. I am looking for some vendors to compare prices and brands.

I found this but never even heard of the vendor.

I got my pistons and Rings from the Parts Dino as well. ITM components. I got the 2g .020 over to raise compression. I'm installing them this week. Good price. Go Bruce!

Think they will hold over 20+ PSI on the EVOIII? I haven't heard much about ITM or if those pistons are as good as stock ones.

Hold over 20+ psi? Hecks yeah! I don't see why not. There are other tuners on this board that have used ITM components with no problems. They are OE spec pistons. Its not like we're talking about Topline. I have an EVOIII turbo too btw.

I see. I assume these 2G pistons from ITM will also need to be machined to fit the 1G rods?

Well, you don't machine the pistons you machine the rods. But in my case no. In your case yes.

Hrmmm...well I may just stick with new 1G ones then. I had ringlands fail on my OEM pistons that had 150K on them in CYL 1. I think it was just weak or detonated really bad. One of the two.

No problem! Another reason I chose the 2g pistons is because they have a better ring landing design than the 1g pistons.
