Not much to say.. Car will be junked soon if it's not usable.
Brand new rods with arp studs and new pistons. Told my shop teacher to stop heating them and he didn't want to. They melted and are seized completely.
IS THIS STILL USABLE. can I chisel it out and make it work. If not then there goes all my money and hard work I saved up for 11 months.......

What in hells creation was he doing heating them in the first place?

As a teacher, he needs to take responsability. Otherwise he would not only be setting a poor example to his students, but to his faculty.

I signed a sheet at the beginning of the year saying I was responsible for all damages. This im pretty sure falls under that..

yea that's what i would do, go to small claims court and file a lawsuit stating that the teacher continued to heat YOUR pistons and rods when you told him to stop but he decided to be ignorant and destroyed your pistons and rods and therefore is responsible for the damage

as far as going to the point of sueing is a 125 dollar set of pistons worth all that hassle?
As far as the piston being usable (I would strongly recommend NOT using it), the integrity of the pistons wrist pin surface has been massively damaged thus it will let that rod go on any type of rev past probably 3500.
on the other note your teacher should have known he did not have the proper tooling to do this and should have taken them to a machine shop that has a rod heater that applies heat straight to the pin end of the rod expanding it just enough to slip the pin into the piston/rod without applying heat to the piston! pm me if you want anything aftermarket, I can press them off and press them back in for you if need be.
Don't buy these from the dealer there like 115 ish per piston and that's just nuts!

Always good to see people in the community offer up to help!

For the time being I'd take one of these gentlemen up on their offer, then figure out the rest of it with your shop teacher. And don't let him "build" any part of your motor... go buy a haynes manual and teach yourself.

I have gotten engine specs from a professional program at the shop amd got all my engime specs. The rest I got from reading the forums these past 11 months I habe read every article in every catagory at least twice for 6 pages. I habe a lot more progress including engine bay cleanup and repaint black with a red subframe! Looks good and I just redid the whole suspension with all new bushings and I have leather I bought for the interior work. Painted my carpet black (looks brand new) got some soundproofing material with all new speakers, just got my 20% tint all the way around and will be finishing it up with a flip up 7inch eventually for movies. Not till I get maintnance done and my car running tho!. I have pics of the new crankshaft with all new gaskets, water pump, oil pump, oil filter housing, redline trans oil, break in oil with the good ol' k&n filters. I got also hooked up a boost gauge with a switch for my dual stage mbc LOL should be a decent car with slicks on after a tuneup with a 20g. Also got 550cc injectors but will be upgrading. Eventually a fuel pump as well. You can find this shortly on my build log check it out!
