Hey guys, my car is up right now. (getting the new motor, finally!) Anyways, i want to know how some of you guys hooked up the piping on the drivers side for the front mount. I have a side to side intercooler, I had the pipe running through the little gap between the oil filter and frame, which is where most of you go, but how did you make the bends to go around and up through the hole and to the j pipe. I have it ghetto rigged right now with copper 2" elbows and 2.5" pipes. I coudnt go over 10 lbs without blowing couplers or pipes. If any body has some good pictures of how they hokked the drivers side up, i would appreciate seeing them.

thanks guys,
Anthony

Try putting a ridge or lip on the ends of the peicesso the ends are flared out to make it harder for the peices to pull apart if you know what I'm saying, and tighten the clamps as tight as you can get them.
Goodluck

i have made a couple ic setup's for local guys, evo 8 ic's mostally but after all is said and done and tig welded i just put a good 1in strip of weld with the MIG at oppsite side's at the end of the pipe.. and i can get t-clamps for 5.00 each shipped to wherever to just let me know..

heres what I did......First I ran the ic piping from the hot side under the frame. Then I cut the stock j-pipe and turned it to angle down towards the 180 pipe. Then I just welded a piece to connect them (requires some cutting of angles and welding and such) but I could boost 22 pounds (checking to see if my mbc was working, and disconnected it) and the piping held fine. Also it helps when you bead the end like they say as well. Hope this works out for you.

Geeze 5 bucks a T-bolt go to NAPA 2.39 a piece. I run them on my car with beaded piping = never blow anything again. ever

hey thanks for all the replies. I am going to definitaly go with the t clamps when I start throwing everything back together. I will also maybe look into getting a pipe beader of some sort. Does anybody have any pictures they could throw me on how they did the drivers side piping on a 1st gen, with a j pipe.
