Oh I'm down with the criticism, I did indeed ask for it, regardless of how disappointing it is.

All-black just seems so boring to me. Especially given the other all-black eclipses in town, it just seems so stock and unexciting. Even if I do paint the car all black, which was my original plan, I still would feel an urge to get some kind of artwork on it...

The lights look sooo bad. Halos are so nasty, I don't even like the factory ones on BMW's because they just remind me of... well, old BWMs. Not to mention that you probably can't see at night any more. All to get the look of leaky craptastic fake HID housings.

The pinstriping on the grill would look good on a red car. But it's not nearly as bad as the Subaru/VW stripes under the headlights. All to bring even more attention to those lights.

The hood would look good if you painted you car white. Like already said, I'd see your car, think your were racing a Honda and wrecked into the back of a soccer mom's suv. Then spent $50 for a hood and new headlights.

The wheels look ok to me, but now you're getting 18's. And I can only imagine what style and brand you're going to choose.

OP, Your car looks like you let a fat chick sit on your hood and you had to replace it after that. You should really put the black one back on, or sell it to me. Black is one of the best colors of DSM's

imo you shouldve went all the way around the headlight... and maybe kept the black hood and did some really dope design with red pinstriping... but definately really cool... i dig it the way it is too

You know they make a red carbon fiber hood? I've seen some somewhere and I'm not sure how goofy/good that would look.

I know this was posted a while ago, but I think that you were talking about a carbon fiber hood that had candy red sprayed over it. Keeps the cf look while turning it red
