i am soon to be purchasing a 96 talon tsi... however i dont care for the rear end of the talon, nor do i care for the rest of the stock body kit but the car is 4300 so im thinking i could buy a bodykit for an eclipse and get the rear lights and 97+head lights.... put it on there and give it a fresh paintjob... however i know that most fiberglass bodykits dont fit perfect and usualy need to be worked with a little bit...

so basicly i just would like to know how much most people pay to get fiberglass bodykits fitted installed and painted... and i dont want a crazy nice paint job for thousands of dollars... (i just want something nice that wont die in a few years... like around 700 bucks maybe?)

if your looking to get a paint job for 700 bux, look for MAACO (sp?). Your probably gonna pay a couple grand for a paint job, and more for the installation.

I can't give you a quote, because every bodyshop is different. I'm sure sumone else will say sumthin

hey your in cali where in cali though. I have installed 27 body kits so far all with good fittings. yes some may fit rought and some may fit well. it alld epends on who makes the kit. wel anyways i install and paint. sp if your local in the oc area im or wirte me an email [email protected]
im currently doing a r34 octane kit and painting the whole car and re doing the interior if your local you can come down and check it out befoe you decide to go somewhere else. let me know for the rest of you imtrying to get a way to get some pictures on the web but having some technical problems

look in my gallery, i mounted my kit... did all the cutting and everything.. and for the guy at the body shop i use to mold everything, fix all the dents, etc and paint.... $1400

EDIT: but my kit fits like SHIT

well i do live near the OC, a little less than 30 miles away in Corona... i dont have the car yet, ive been asking a couple questions on this forum b4 i decide what im gonna buy... so far i think i will go with a 95 talon and convert it to an eclipse then get it painted...

so if i bought the body kit and lights and all that was neseccary for the conversion, how much do you think it would cost to get it installed and painted?

btw... whats "sp" mean? and whats MAACO?

haha... "sp?" is used when someone is unsure of the spelling. MAACO is a paint place that is notoriously known for paint jobs ranging from $300-$800...which is kinda of cheap compared to most paint shops. You must have seen the commercials. Some say that MAACO does not do a very good job, whereas some debate that they have gotten a good job done by them. I believe that MAACO does not do a very good job in prepping cars, which is very important. Do a search and you will find a lot more.
