I am making this thread so we can share picture of our tragedies with our cars, ### in all reality while it sucks major balls its really interesting to see what kind of hell our cars can put us through. This can aslo be a support group for all us dsm'ers ROFL Seriously thoguh post some pics and short description of what happened( im sure some pics will be self-explanatory:D ) :dsm::talon::laser: Let the carnage begin...

interesting thread. I guess I'll start it off then...

only 4k on my 2.3L stroker then lost all compression on #3... Found that all of the Wiseco piston's valve reliefs were wearing down and the piston debris caused the compression rings in #3 to seize. Longer story short, I pulled the rods & pistons w/ the block still in the car only to find that all 4 of the pistons had the same wear on the crowns, right around the valve reliefs, on the intake side only... I don't get it. Ah well, I ended up going with the 2.4L 6-bolt that I originally wanted anyways. From the looks of the wear on the main crank bearings, this used/micro polished crank wasn't even close to straight. I then gave up on it... The dead 2.3L was then rebuilt with a reground crank, Arias pistons, & Manley I-beam rods and sold to another local DSMer.
A note to the builder (you know who you are)... Cryo treatment doesn't do sh*t if you start with F'ed up parts to begin with!

Bent rod, ECU failure led to hydro locking from excess fuel. Didn't find out till engine was torn down, ran fine haha (after new ecu)

Evo3 16g. "No shaft play" ha! Learned my lesson... Don't know if you can see where it wore into the housing. Being compared to a 14b compressor wheel. Now used to test WGA's:

Here is what I have to offer. This resulted from a stub shaft balance shaft elimination becoming dislodged from the oil pump and removing one ARP rod stud nut.

Not my car, but a real shame. I hope everyone was ok.

This is my car. Not much to look at but considering $2000 worth of body work had just been done about a week before... No note, nothing. Hit at my apartment. Then last week, it got broken into. Another $1500 worth of stuff gone.

Lets take a moment of silence for all the dsm's out there that have been KIA.
....
Alright lets see some more pics and stories.:dsm::talon::laser:

I tried to buy it back, insurance company wouldnt let me. They say once a car is that far "gone" you cant buy it back because of so many fraud cases where people strip them themselves, save the parts, get their check, and build their car.

it went to the crusher

How much could you have bought it back for if you were able to? I would have posted it up here for sale so atleast someone could have saved the chassis.

This is a photo of me blowing up my Shep transmission. He warned me not to use the GVR4 first gear but I just had to have it.
