E116- Yes that will be totaled. Going to need alot of new rear parts.

Fast and the furious car. hah.

Looking at all of these tragedies you guys have had, mine seems like nothing.

A couple of chipped teeth in the transfer case...
Not really sure what happened, though I'm sure it was from the previous owner.
I was driving down a residential street after a 35 min freeway drive and all of a sudden the car momentarily stopped and we heard a loud bang. I got the car towed and started looking at what could have caused the issue. I pulled the tc and found that I couldn't rotate the splines in either direction. When I pulled the inspection shield(?), I found the pieces there.
Bought a used one form some guy parting his car out for $70....pretty good deal if you ask me. :)

Thats one of the coolest pistons Ive seen in a while.

The car I currently drive, the day I bought it. The victim of an engine fire.

Not a DSM, but my FC RX7 a month after I bought it. I fixed it 2.5 months later, with no prior automotive knowledge. This was 2 years ago when I was 16, it was my first car.

Hood flew up while I was on the freeway. Can anyone guess what broke the windshield?
Had that happen to me too, but don't have pictures. Definitely a scary feeling when you can't see anything going that fast. My carbon fiber hood was barely damaged but the windshield and roof were trashed.

135 in a N/T? Were you on the throttle for 5 minutes on a downhill slope with a tailwind? ROFL That's if it's the car in your sig.

No 135 in a 90 Laser Turbo. Had it rebuilt till drunk driver hit me on a bridge. I threated to throw him off of it becuase my pregnant girlfriend was in the car on the side he hit. The to add insult to injury I went 3 days later to the junkyard and they had my car stripped, Needless to say they paid me for all the extra parts they lost or somehow missplaced...:notgood:

evo3 turbo
ported and polished head
2.5 Exhaust
all my engine guages(even the ECU)
after all was said and done they (junkyard) had to give me a check for 1500.00 thanks to the court...THe junkyard said the cops said is was abandoned(which was a lie)...had to get the cop to come to court to say otherwise.....

4 days after i got the car, i spun a rod bearing! curiously there were all these brass shavings in the oil pan? long story short, previous owner blew the turbo, slapped on a Big16 and sold the car to me. lesson learned.:talon:

That was the fate of my first DSM as well, only my hood bent backwards and had a meeting with the sunroof as well. Nothing gets the blood pumping like having the hood fly up on you while you're on the freeway during daytime traffic hours.

I'll 2nd that. That's what you get for driving a honda.

I had the same problem on my EG (92-95) civic hatchback, i liked the 50 mpg but it was dog shit slow.

Took the firetruck 20 minutes to get there by that time the only thing left was the fuel tank left to implode.

Funny thing was i was 5 minutes away from the firehouse, so i was like WTF?

It took so long because i was on county line and did not know which side was gonna respond.
