Very true :thumb: Toasted my stock motor on the night I bought it (7 Bolt). Week later found a '91 6 bolt motor (BRAND new head, 60K on the block, rebuilt) for $600. Getting that, and an ACT 2600 in as we speak ;)

What is is about little brothers that are so good at destroying stuff?

When I was in my last semester of college, I let my younger bro take my Talon across campus to grab something from his dorm room. He calls the house not 5 minutes later to say that the car has "stopped, and won't go anymore".

OMG

I get there, and find that the main front crossmember, the one that holds the damn front wheels on, has snapped right in the middle!

The car will still roll, albeit gimpy, so we push it home and call Dad. I'm having visions of disappearing dollar signs dancing in my head.

Fortunately, I bought the car from my great uncle, who resells cars to supplement his tractor business. As it turned out, the previous owner had broken the crossmember, likely hotdoggin' over a speed bump, and welded it back together improperly. My great uncle was so pissed at himself for letting a faulty product out of his hands that he replaced damn near the entire front suspension for free.

We still give my little brother a hard time about when he took a paint brush soaking in Turpentine & went down the side of dad's Dodge to "paint" it - he was only 3 or 4.
